Our Approach
We bring years of industry experience, a pragmatic yet deeply intuitive design process, and a refined artistic sensibility to create spaces that feel both luxurious and deeply personal. Our approach is rooted in respect for the home's existing character, a love of design as both art and function, and an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship. Every project begins with understanding you—your lifestyle, your aesthetic, and the way you want to feel in your space. From bespoke layouts to custom pieces, we curate solutions that are not only beautiful but also entirely unique to you, ensuring your home is a true reflection of who you are.

Grounded Presence
We believe home should be a place of grounding and calm, reflecting both where you are and where you want to be. Whether through a connection to the physical surroundings or a sense of emotional belonging, we design spaces that feel deeply personal. By warmth, personality, quirk, function, we create homes that are not just beautiful but truly livable— that support life, socialization, and play, offering a sense of comfort and ease. Or, as we like to say spaces that invite you to put your feet up.
Personalized Approach
A house becomes home when it reflects you. Our first step in any project is listening—getting to know your lifestyle, tastes, and the little details that make you feel at home. While we have a distinct perspective, we see ourselves as design chameleons, adapting to uncover what feels most like you. There's nothing more rewarding than that moment when a space clicks into place—when it feels undeniably yours and brings you pure, giddy happiness.
Our Values
Inherited Modernity
We believe in embracing the past and existing while pushing forward to the present. Rather than gutting a space to impose a new aesthetic, it honors what came before, allowing historic details, original materials, and architectural quirks to coexist with contemporary design. It's an approach that values continuity, storytelling, and evolution. Modernity doesn't mean discarding the past, but rather building on it thoughtfully.
Honoring Expertise
We are experts in interior design, but we don't pretend to know everything—and that's exactly why we value collaboration. Great design is a team effort, and we trust in the expertise of our partners, from architects and builders to artisans and craftspeople, to help bring each vision to life. By working with those who excel their fields, we ensure every detail is thoughtfully executed, creating spaces that are not only beautiful but built to last.

What is it like working with an interior designer?Working with an interior designer should be a rewarding, stress-free process. We help to create a big-picture look at the budget and scopes of your project, and help manage all the moving parts of getting everything to the home. Also, we provide trusted, expert opinions in the building and renovating process which can get very confusing for many people. We are forward thinking, hoping to talk through and have decisions for most design items before the decision is needed because there is nothing worse then needing to make a big decision with a timer ticking... We take on anything from renovations and new builds to furnishings and soft good selections. And take it from many, many previous clients, there is more to this process than you realize and utilizing a qualified designer makes the whole process a lot more enjoyable.

What is the difference between interior designer, architect and/or contractor?Interior designers focus on bringing a space’s aesthetic vision to life by selecting finishes such as tile, furniture, and fixtures. We work closely with architects, who specialize in the building’s structure, and contractors, who carry out the design plans created by both the architect and designer. Depending on where you live, you many only need a builder to execute the work you want done, but in our experience the most successful outcomes are when all three parties are involved and working closely together from the beginning of the project.
-
What does 'full service' interior design mean?Full service interior design is a comprehensive service in which we work with you from concept to completion, making sure the design executed at each step. We not only provide ideas for but also take care of every detail—we will present items, coordinate with all applicable trades, including architects and builders, and order and track all deliveries. It ends with a full install, imagine moving day but you don't have to do any of the moving, in which you come home to a perfectly executed home for you to enjoy.
-
What do your design fees look like?Every project has its own unique scope and requirements, and our fees are presented as part of our inquiry process. Once we receive an inquiry we will reach out about a short introductory call, and then follow-up with a longer form design consultation where we really dive into scope. Part of our follow-up after the design consultation is a proposal which includes scope and fees.

What types of projects do you take on?We love working on projects where we can truly showcase our expertise and creativity. Our ideal projects are those that allow us to take a comprehensive approach and where clients value our guidance on finishes, fixtures, and furniture selections. While we’re happy to work with clients of all kinds, we thrive in environments where clients trust us to lead the design process and make the most of our experience. If this is you and you’re ready to let us bring your vision to life with our full-service design approach, please reach out!

How do I know if we'll be a good fit?We love working with clients who have a clear understanding of how they live in their spaces. We’ll ask a lot of questions about your daily routines, preferences, and what makes you feel most at home. You don’t need to have a strong vision or be a design expert—that’s what you hired me for! But we work best with clients who know themselves and can communicate how they use their space. Our best projects happen when clients trust us to transform their lifestyle needs into beautiful, functional designs. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear about your project!

I'm nervous about hiring a designer as it is such an investment and such an intimate process. We completely understand your hesitation! Hiring a designer is a big investment, and the process of working on your home is deeply personal. To create a space that truly works for you, we need to understand how you live, what matters most to you, and how you want to feel in your home. That’s why we make sure to schedule several calls, Zoom meetings, or in-person discussions before committing to a full project. We value building a relationship based on trust and respect, so you feel comfortable inviting us into your home. If past experiences are making you nervous, let’s talk about it—we’re here to address any concerns. And, of course, we welcome your questions and feedback throughout the process. This is your home, and it’s our job to make it reflect you!
About the Designer
My name is Colleen Freiburger
With years of experience in high-end residential interior design across the country, I bring a well-rounded approach to every project. Growing up as the daughter of a builder, I’ve had a deep connection to construction sites from a young age. I later studied architecture at Montana State University, where my love for design flourished alongside my passion for outdoor adventures like skiing, rock climbing, and fly fishing.
As a former lead designer and design team director, I successfully managed large-scale, out-of-state projects, coordinating trades and installations with precision. I’m passionate about design, a true enthusiast of niche furniture and lighting, and always take a collaborative, pragmatic approach to creative challenges. I thrive on blending color, texture, and personal inspiration to create spaces that reflect my clients’ unique tastes.
While the creative process is incredibly rewarding, I understand that successful design is also about seamless execution. I pride myself on being both creatively driven and organized, balancing left-brain and right-brain skills to not only craft beautiful environments but also to expertly manage every step of the process.
I cannot wait to work with you and provide some delicious baked goods for our meeting.
